If you are an actor then you must know who Bryan Cranston is, the now legendary actor is an inspiration to many, having not had the benefit of a formal acting education or a family connection with the industry. Instead Cranston embarked on his journey into acting in his 30's and for much of it split his time between working in warehouses, being a family man and being thrown into rotation as a regular "character actor" in numerous television and film appearance.

As one of the lucky few to make the transition from an unknown working actor to a famous face that sells out Broadway shows and has more awards than his shelves can hold, Bryan Cranston has become synonymous with the idea of studious work and embracing the idea that we are artists and must therefore work as such.

Below Cranston gives some great advice not just on nailing auditions, but also adopting an attitude that will make you a better more confident actor and, perhaps even more importantly, free you from career jealousy. This in my mind is essential for forging a career in this industry and will give even the most green actors a better chance at success.
